DIY The Saks Potts jumper

Photographer : Lyloutte

Saks Potts… I have this brand in sight since I have seen it regularly on several fashion girls’ Instagram accounts that I follow: Camille Charrière, Leandra Medine, Perrine Teisbaek. It’s a Danish brand founded in Copenhagen by Barbara Potts and Cathrine Sacks, that is worn more and more during fashion weeks. I really like the mixture of colours and materials, however it is mainly fur, which makes them very expensive. Thus, I wanted to create an item similar to their collection, a jumper with furry yokes on the sleeves. The exaggerated sleeve is a major trend of this spring-summer 2017!

I found strings covered with green feathers in a small store rue d’Orsel in Paris XVIII for 4 euros a meter. I bought two pieces of 1,5 meters each which I sewed onto the sleeves of a little black Zara jumper I had in my cupboard. 10 minutes later, voilà! A very trendy jumper without breaking the bank… that’s something of which you can be really proud!
